Taking the step to seek help from a counselor is an important decision. I hope that whatever your reason for considering counseling, you know there is a place that you can come to be heard without judgement. I have experience in working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, panic, family issues, aging concerns, spiritual struggles, grief and loss, and other life stages. Please contact me for an assessment visit and we will work together to create a plan of care that fits your individual concerns.

Life can be emotionally and mentally exhausting. We give so much energy to our roles as fathers, mothers, wives, professionals, daughters, sons, friends, etc; we forget to pour back into ourselves. My primary goal is to offer a safe and caring environment where you will feel supported as you share your story, and finally spend time pouring time and energy into you.

I have experience in working with individuals who have anxiety, depression, marital/partner issues, work and family related stress, or who are adjusting to challenging life events.

Asking for help is hard, and asking a stranger for help is even harder. I understand. If you feel like you may benefit from therapy, I really hope you take that leap and schedule an assessment. Give it a try!

Kim Miller, LCSW, LISW-CP

There are a lot of reasons to start therapy, whether you're struggling to keep up with life's demands, can't stop your racing thoughts, or you want to feel different but don't know how to change things. When you start your therapy journey, it's important to choose a therapist who helps you feel safe and seen. I want to help you learn how your brain and nervous system works, offer yourself a little more compassion, and break patterns or process trauma that is weighing you down and doesn't serve you anymore. I am committed to believing you and honoring your autonomy and lived experience everystep of the way. You won't find a "blank-slate" therapist in my office, but you will find someone who gives honest, empathetic reactions to every piece of your story (and I love to sprinkle in some sarcasm in moments of levity!).

Kim is a Licensed Independent Social Worker in South Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The Ohio State University, and she received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah. Kim has experience working with individuals with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma survivors, and couples. She is a military spouse herself, and she has worked with military spouses and servicemembers, the LGBTQIA+ community, and others from many walks of life.

In her free time, Kim enjoys kayaking, reading, crocheting, hosting friends for game nights, and spending quality time with her husband and her black lab, Hera.
